But, you should know you’re getting old when bands you think are ***cool*** are currently so mainstream, they have a retrospective on the South Bank Show. Thus it was with Jarvis Cocker a few weeks ago. Talk about feeling old ….

Also, what’s wrong with liking (What’s the Story)? Oasis were always more interesting than the squeakily shiny Blur, although admittedly not as musically literate. And, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory a) is fab album title and b) is one of my favourite ever CDs (I’m also a luddite). Check out those helicopters.

Finally, I was at SCHOOL not Uni when the Cure were MY favourite band. And I’m older than you 🙂

Finally, as I’ve said before: Muse. Wembley. Best gig of my life. Nuff said. But, we missed My Chemical Romance. Apart from the deliberately provocative and oh-so-rebellious band name, are they any good?

Out of Modest Mouse’s albums I like best is “Good News For People Who Love Bad News”. It’s strange but they’re playing (of all venues in London) at Royal Albert Hall next month.

Every track.Although you can’t top Ryan Adams for anything.. but Jesse is cool. You guys are so lucky living in the USA. Us brits have to grab what few live gigs we can from these two genius’s. 8th May Newcastle woohoo Jesse. Gutted that Ryan has cancelled Stonehenge. Hope he comes back to UK sometime later this year.

Or one of the spin-offs, if you don’t own a Chrome Locust CD you don’t know what you’re missing.
